Women in Timber Ghana was established as a registered non-profit organization to solve a major issue: the underrepresentation, lack of leadership roles, and economic barriers faced by women in the timber and forestry sector. In a sector traditionally dominated by men, women have often been limited to lower-tier, low-income tasks.
Over the years, we have grown into a strong, collaborative platform. We combine training, environmental reforestation, policy advocacy, and credit-union support. Today, we empower women to scale their woodcraft businesses, adopt sustainable forestry practices, and lead environmental restoration efforts that combat climate change across Ghana.

Official inauguration and public launch of the Women in Timber Ghana Association (WiTG), bringing together women entrepreneurs, foresters, community leaders, and institutional partners to advance women's leadership and equity in Ghana's forestry sector.
